Ravens first-round cornerback shines before exiting preseason game with shoulder injury

Related Topics: Baltimore Ravens, Nate Wiggins

With 12 minutes remaining in the third quarter of Friday’s preseason exhibition between the Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles, Ravens first-round rookie cornerback Nate Wiggins made an open-field tackle on running back Lew Nichols and came up gingerly. Upon exiting the field, Wiggins entered the infamous blue medical tent, only to leave and head straight to the locker room with team trainers.

The Ravens announced Wiggins is being evaluated for a shoulder injury and his return is questionable.

Prior to the injury, Wiggins was the biggest playmaker of any Raven. He broke up the first three passes thrown his way by Eagles quarterback Kenny Pickett and did not allow a reception from Pickett on throws of 10+ air yards (0-for-4).
