The Ravens drafted South Carolina tight end Hayden Hurst with the 25th pick (after trading back twice) in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Here are RSR’s thoughts on the pick:
Adam Bonaccorsi
Yup. Not a fan of this pick. At all. Assuming the 5th-year option, Hurst is going to be 30(!) when his rookie deal ends. In my books he was TE3 behind Goedert & Gesicki so this is a hard pill to swallow. This is literally Maxx Williams-level reaching in my book, and I think the Ravens could’ve gotten a top-4 tight end at the 52nd pick tomorrow had they waited.
