OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- The Baltimore Ravens are donating $10,000 to help disaster relief in nearby Ellicott City.
On Saturday, flash floods left two people dead and damaged dozens of buildings as well as more than 200 cars. A little over 4.5 inches of rain fell in one hour in that area, which led the governor to declare a state of emergency.
Wide receiver Michael Campanaro, who announced the donation, grew up close to Ellicott City and his brother lives one mile from there.
"What happened with the flood relief hits home," Campanaro said.
