The Baltimore Ravens on Monday announced a $200,000 donation to support the installation of air conditioning in city schools.
Ravens President Dick Cass, Mayor Bernard C. "Jack" Young, several players and school system leaders were at Thomas Jefferson Elementary/Middle School to celebrate the gift, made by the team and players as part of their Social Justice Program.
"Education is something our players care deeply about. And even though our players typically are not from the city of Baltimore, they come here, they see a city that has challenges and great potential, and they want to do something about it," Cass said.
