Ravens Donate $1M To Houston Flood Relief

The Baltimore Ravens are donating $1 million to support Houston flood relief.

The team announced Thursday that the gift will be sent to the United Way of Greater Houston, with the funds split among the United Way Relief Fund for Hurricane Harvey, the Salvation Army of Houston and the American Red Cross.

A number of sports teams, leagues and players--most notably Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt--have donated money, launched fundraisers or both. While the Baltimore Orioles have not announced a donation, MLB and the MLB Players Association pledged a joint $1 million gift, and the Orioles are urging fans at Camden Yards to donate to the league's online fundraiser.
