Ravens Donate $1 Million to Help Houston Relief Effort

The Ravens are donating $1 million to help Houston citizens recover from the massive damage caused by Hurricane Harvey.

The team announced the donation Wednesday afternoon, hours before their fourth preseason game in neighboring New Orleans.

The gift will be given to the United Way of Greater Houston, with the funds distributed to the United Way Relief Fund for Hurricane Harvey, the Salvation Army of Houston and the Red Cross.

The NFL community has stepped up to help. The Texans donated $2 million and the NFL Foundation pitched in $1 million.

The Ravens join the New England Patriots, New York Jets, Tennessee Titans as teams donating $1 million.
