A year after a training camp knee injury ended his rookie year before it began, Ravens defensive end Brent Urban is again facing the possibility of missing an entire season.
Urban tore a pectoral muscle in Thursday's practice, leaving his season in jeopardy. A magnetic resonance imaging test taken confirmed the injury.
The injury typically carries around a 12-week recovery period, so the Ravens will have to decide whether to put Urban on season-ending injured reserve or injured reserve with a designation to return. The latter would mean that Urban would have to miss the first eight weeks of the season before he's elgible to return.
