Baltimore Ravens defensive end Calais Campbell was named the winner of the 2023 Art Rooney Sportsmanship award.
Campbell, 36, was announced as the winner during the NFL Honors Awards Show on Thursday. He will receive $25,000 from the NFL to the charity of his choice.
The award was established in 2014 in honor of late Pittsburgh Steelers owner and Pro Football Hall of Famer Art Rooney Sr. Each season all 32 NFL teams nominate a player who “best demonstrates the qualities of on-field sportsmanship, including fair play, respect for the game and opponents, and integrity in competition,” according to NFL.
