Ravens Center John Urschel To Retire From NFL

The Baltimore Ravens could be in search of a new center.

Head Coach John Harbaugh sent an announcement on Thursday morning that said, "This morning John Urschel informed me of his decision to retire from football. We respect John and respect his decision. We appreciate his efforts over the past three years and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

Urshel was said to be competing for the starting center postion for the upcoming Ravens season.

In addition to his football career, Urshel is currently a Ph.D. candidate in mathematics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
