Ravens Announcer Steps Back After More Than 20 Years

When the Baltimore Ravens host the Arizona Cardinals for their home opener on Sept. 15, there will be a new voice introducing the players at M&T Bank Stadium.

Bruce Cunningham, sports director for WBFF-TV, resigned Tuesday as the team's public address announcer, the only one the team has had in its 23-year history.

Cunningham announced the completion of plays and made other announcements during three seasons at Memorial Stadium and the last 20 at what is now M&T Bank Stadium.

In a statement on his station's website, Cunningham said he realized after the second preseason game against the Green Bay Packers that it was time to give the job to someone else.
