The Ravens added another offensive lineman to their 53-man roster Wednesday, claiming Billy Turner off waivers and releasing linebacker Chris Carter to make room.
Turner was released by the Miami Dolphins Tuesday after he surrendered three sacks and two quarterback hits against the Tennessee Titans in the Dolphins’ Week 5 loss.
Part of that could have been because he was pressed into action out of position. Turner, who was listed on the Dolphins depth chart as a backup right guard, was called on to be the team’s starting left tackle.
Turner is the second right guard the Ravens have added to the roster this week, which may be a bad sign for the health of the Ravens’ line.
