Rams expected to release Tavon Austin, and Tony Jefferson is already recruiting

Rams will either trade or release WR Tavon Austin before the start of the league year, source says. He’s due $8m, so his time with the team is done.

Austin had a massive decline in production during the 2017 season with the Rams. With new additions Sammy Watkins, Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods, Austin took a backseat in the Rams’ offense. He only recorded 13 receptions for 47 yards and zero touchdowns.

Austin has never hit 1,000 receiving yards in a season.
