The defense took the field first and again, this unit was essentially at full strength. Brandon Boykin, Lamar Louis and Maurice Canady were all held out, as per Jeff Zrebiec. The group picked up where they left off as they stopped Jay Ajayi on first down, but on second down, Jay Cutler connected with Ajayi for a first-down. Brandon Williams explodes through the hole and stops Ajayi in the backfield on first-down. On third-down, Baltimore catches a break as Miami was called for holding. However, Brandon Carr was beat on the play but it was called back.
