The Baltimore Ravens and tight end Dennis Pitta have agreed to a restructured contract.
“Dennis wants to continue his playing career, and we want to give him that opportunity,” Ozzie Newsome said in a team press release. “We have reworked his contract, and we’re excited to help him with his comeback. Everyone here wants Dennis to succeed.”
Pitta is headed into his seventh NFL season, though the last two seasons have been derailed by hip injuries. He saw was on the Physically Unable to Perform list through 2015 and only played three games in 2014 before re-injuring the hip he dislocated and fractured during training camp in 2013.
