Over 25,000 people so far have signed an online petition which calls for the statue of Ray Lewis to be removed from in front of M & T Bank Stadium.
The petition started being circulated after Lewis took to both knees during the national anthem at the Baltimore Ravens game at Wembley Stadium last Sunday.
That act angered Hydes resident Eric Moniodis who decided to write a letter to Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti.
Moniodis then launched the Change.org petition with the letter and requested that it get 35,000 thousand signatures before it will be delivered to the Ravens' owner.
