I don’t know that there’s any team in the league better at proving the NFL is a week-to-week league than the Baltimore Ravens. I’m not complaining; honestly, Sunday’s game against the Cardinals went about the way I expected. Road trips out west are never easy, and despite their record, Arizona has some athletic playmakers across their roster. Like many of you, I would have loved to see Baltimore follow up their dominant win against Detroit with another walloping, but it’s hard to replicate a performance like that one, especially in this league. With teams constantly adjusting from week to week, games are more often going to become like the one this past Sunday, playing out like boxers gauging range and combinations before they can try to throw harder shots looking for the knockout.
