The Baltimore Ravens and Jake Long have not officially signed a deal, and the reasons been made clear. Unsurprisingly, it’s the right knee.
Jake Long tore his right ACL in back-to-back seasons, in 2013 & 2014. Dr. James Andrews performed the surgery both times, and Long is getting his knee inspected before furthering his agreement with the Baltimore Ravens.
The concerns are if possible lingering affects will be an issue.
No doubt, if the knee is sound Jake Long will be on the roster. Where he fits has been the discussion. Whether he makes the starting left tackle position, pushing Ronnie Stanley inside at guard, or if he is the depth Baltimore needs being a back-up for the sixth overall pick.
