The confident cornerback duo of Charles James and Asa Jackson, both of whom were added to the Ravens active roster from the practice squad Tuesday, had designs of this happening earlier.
Jackson entered training camp with the Ravens under the belief he’d proven himself as a starting cornerback in an injury-shortened 2014 season, but return woes cost him his roster spot and landed him on the practice squad. Likewise, James was seemingly a breakout star with the Houston Texans on the HBO show, “Hard Knocks,” but didn’t make the final roster.
But injuries and ineffectiveness caused plenty of opportunities.
