Following Baltimore’s first day of mandatory minicamp, offensive linemen James Hurst spoke to the media. In his press conference, Hurst was asked about his new contract with the Ravens.
“At the end of the season, I was lucky enough to play all 16 games and get a lot of good film, so I felt really good about that. In the end of season meetings we had [Head coach John Harbaugh] pulled me up to the office just to talk and was really frank. He said ‘we want to get you back here’. He said up front ‘we don’t have a ton of cap space and that’s something that is going to be an issue, but we want you to continue to be a Raven with us’,” Hurst said.
