Every NFL offseason, a handful of undrafted free agents burst onto the scene and play their way onto the final rosters of teams all over the league. Whether scouts were simply wrong about a guy or there are just certain players who make better pros than preps, it happens all the time.
The Baltimore Ravens are no stranger to this, as they employ several former undrafted free agents on their current roster. One of which is former Alabama safety Nick Perry, a player who seems destined to make the final 53 man roster this season.
Defensive coordinator Dean Pees had high praise for Perry following a recent training camp practice, calling him “a typical Nick Saban prodigy,” and referring to him as “tough and smart.
