NFL referees would welcome an expanded role in training camp, publicly backing Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh's proposal to improve officiating.
"We think Coach Harbaugh's idea is an excellent one," NFL Referees Association executive director Jim Quirk said in a statement Sunday.
