The Baltimore Ravens have until 4 p.m. on Tuesday to decide if they will put the franchise tag on quarterback Lamar Jackson, and it appeared the team would use all the time needed to try for a long-term deal first.
Ravens Executive Vice President Ozzie Newsome spoke on "The Bernie Kosar Show" on Monday. When asked if a deal would get done, Newsome said the team would try to ink Jackson long-term first before a tag is placed.
“The biggest thing is we have a deadline tomorrow at four o’clock to put the tag on," Newsome said.
