Baltimore native Greg Davis will become the Baltimore Ravens' new public address announcer, the team announced Tuesday.
Davis, an Annapolis High School graduate with a background in radio, has been the voice of Navy athletics since 2000. He has called home games for football, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's lacrosse and events like the Military Bowl. He has also announced some events at the University of Maryland.
Like many Baltimoreans, Davis said he was a Colts fan who refused to root for another team until football returned to Baltimore.
“It’s very much an honor just to be a tiny, tiny part of such a storied organization,” Davis said in an article on the team website.
