In their audition to impress the hordes of NFL scouts and officials at the NFL Scouting Combine on Sunday, former Maryland defensive linemen Yannick Ngakoue and Quinton Jefferson turned in solid performances during defensive linemen workouts.
Ngakoue finished with the seventh-fastest 40-yard dash time among defensive linemen with a 4.75-second run. Ngakoue also impressed with his vertical leap of 34 1/2 inches, which tied for ninth, and his broad jump of 118 inches, which tied for 10th. He projects as a pass-rushing defensive end at the next level after setting a school-record with 13 1/2 sacks in 2015.
