Every year, all 32 NFL teams anoint a player(s) to receive the Ed Block Courage Award — an honor awarded to someone who displays courage and overcomes adversity. The award is voted on only by the players of each team.
For the Ravens, last year’s recipient was Brandon Carr. Since 2015, the four prior awardees in order were Dennis Pitta, Matt Elam, Benjamin Watson, and Marshal Yanda. Next in line now is Mark Andrews, who will be the Ravens’ 2020 recipient of the Ed Block Courage Award.
Ravens TE Mark Andrews is the Ravens' 2020 recipient of the Ed Block Courage Award, which is presented to the player who exemplifies a commitment to principles of sportsmanship and courage.
