Baltimore Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith on Monday announced his retirement from the NFL.
Smith, selected in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Ravens, played in 128 regular season games. He played in the third-most games among Baltimore defensive backs.
Smith has appeared in numerous playoff games. He was a part of six postseason runs that included 10 playoff games.
The longtime cornerback was a member of the 2012 Super Bowl XLVII championship team. Smith had a fourth-down pass breakup late in the game that helped Baltimore win its second Lombardi Trophy.
Smith spent his entire 11-year NFL career with the Ravens.
