The former coach of the Baltimore Ravens' Lamar Jackson discussed the MVP with WBAL NewsRadio 1090 and FM 101.5's Bobby Trosset.
Bobby Petrino, former head coach of the University of Louisville Cardinals football team, has known Jackson since he was a teenager in high school.

Petrino told Trosset that Jackson's energy, excitement and knowledge of football is what stood out the most from his younger years.
"It was a no-brainer that he was going to be a great player," Petrino said. He went on to say that Jackson played well as a quarterback, but Petrino paid specific attention to how well he threw the ball, even when off-balance.
