Former Navy Midshipmen quarterback Keenan Reynolds has received approval to play in the NFL while still being able to fulfill his military obligations in the Naval Reserve Force, according to Paul Pabst of The Dan Patrick Show.
Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus announced the news in an interview with host Dan Patrick on Friday (via Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz of USA Today).
The Baltimore Ravens selected Reynolds in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
The Naval Academy requires graduates to serve five years immediately after graduation, but some exceptions can be made for special circumstances.
