Kicker Justin Tucker has officially signed his franchise tender.
The Ravens placed the franchise tag on Tucker last Friday, Feb. 26, but he had yet to put pen to paper.
The one-year franchise tag offer is worth $4.5 million. It’s roughly the average of the top-five punters and kickers’ salaries in the league.
Baltimore and Tucker have until July 15 to work out a new long-term agreement before Tucker is locked into playing under the franchise tag.
Baltimore has a history of placing the tag on players before coming to an agreement. The Ravens previously did so with Terrell Suggs and Ray Rice.
