OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh acknowledged that he has thought about trying to lure back wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. for another season.
"It has crossed my mind, of course," Harbaugh said Monday.
Harbaugh isn't the only one. Wide receiver Mike Wallace talked to Smith about delaying retirement for another year after Smith became the 14th player in NFL history to reach 1,000 receptions.
Harbaugh said Smith told him that 2016 is his final season. Smith initially announced 2015 would be his last one, but he changed his mind after suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in the middle of the season.
