Ravens starting center Jeremy Zuttah’s season is over.
Zuttah will be placed on injured reserve and have surgery to repair a partially-torn pectoral muscle, an injury that he aggravated in the Ravens’ 22-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday.
“They can’t say 100 percent that it would heal like they wanted it to if we took the time and waited, so they’re going to go ahead and get that done,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday morning.
To take Zuttah’s place on the 53-man roster, the Ravens will promote former Towson standout running back Terrance West from the practice squad.
