When I woke up Wednesday morning, there were two thoughts in my head. After using the facilities, I was down to one:
“Man, I wish Baltimore was throwing a Super Bowl parade today.”
All of those thoughts disappeared later, however, as word began to circulate that there were shots fired into the crowd during what was supposed to be a day of unification and joy. A person died. Children were wounded. Fear and tears and helplessness, and every other heart-wrenching descriptor one could imagine in the darkest crevices of their minds, instead, filled the timeline.
