Harford County Sheriff: NFL Game 'Wrong Place And Time' For Protest

Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler, in his personal opinion, said he considered the Ravens' protest during the national anthem at Sunday's game in London unpatriotic. He's boycotting the NFL and plans to get rid of his Ravens gear.

"Men and women who have given so much for this country, this flag, I believe as a personal basis that that is the wrong place and time to express political difference of opinion or whatever it may be. And I don't believe there's a First Amendment right when you're dressed up in a Ravens outfit," Gahler said.

The Ravens, opposing Jaguars and teams league-wide protested both police mistreatment of black people and President Donald Trump's recent comments when many locked arms, some knelt and a few teams didn't take the field at all for the national anthem on Sunday.
