OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Griff Whalen was among the hopefuls at the Spring League Showcase on Saturday, looking for another shot in the NFL.
Six days after leading all players with 73 receiving yards, Whalen was rewarded with a deal with the Baltimore Ravens.
The Ravens signed Whalen on Friday, just hours after the team placed Michael Campanaro (toe) on the physically unable to perform list. Whalen is very similar to Campanaro because he can play the slot as well as return punts.
This will be Whalen's fifth team in his six-year NFL career.
