Grading the Ravens offseason moves after the first wave of free agency

The Baltimore Ravens had several glaring needs heading into the new league year. After the first week of free agency, the Ravens have been surprisingly active, despite their limited cap space. Below are my grades for each move they have made thus far.

Declining Austin Howard’s Option

Despite their limited cap space, releasing Howard could prove to be a rather costly move. Reports have suggested that Howard may sign elsewhere, but they have not ruled out a comeback, just yet. Nevertheless, by releasing Howard, Baltimore created a hole on their offensive line. Alex Lewis struggled mightily during his limited time at tackle during the 2016 season.
