Former Ravens safety Matt Elam suspended six games

The nightmare story of Matt Elam continued on Thursday. Once a highly coveted first-round pick by the Baltimore Ravens out of Florida, Elam's career has been an utter disappointment, filled with missed tackles, giving up big plays and never living up to his billing. It especially stings for Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome when you factor in Elam was his first draft pick since the Super Bowl.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport has reported that the NFL has suspended the former Florida standout for six games.

This is yet another bad mistake for Matt Elam.
