Former Ravens kicker Billy Cundiff signs with Buffalo Bills

A former Ravens coach might soon turn to a former Ravens kicker on field-goal attempts.

Billy Cundiff, who made the Pro Bowl with the Ravens in 2010, was signed by the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday. The Bills are coached by Rex Ryan, the former Ravens defensive coordinator. He didn't overlap with Cundiff in Baltimore.

The strong-legged Cundiff replaced kicker Jordan Gay, who had been the Bills' kickoff specialist. Dan Carpenter, the Bills' primary kicker, has made 5 of 7 field-goal attempts and missed an extra-point attempt this season. He was 3-for-6 in the preseason.

Cundiff, despite being a very good regular-season kicker for parts of three seasons with the Ravens, is remembered for missing a 32-yard field goal as time expired in the 2012 AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots.
