Ted Marchbiroda, who coached the Baltimore Colts to several division titles in the mid-1970's, and then became the Baltimore Ravens first head coach after the team arrived from Cleveland in 1996 has died at the age of 84.
According to the Ravens, Marchibroda died on Saturday morning.
The Baltimore Colts hired Ted Marchibroda in 1975, and he turned around a team that had finished the previous year 2-12.
The 1975 Colts finished 10-4, and tied for first in the AFC East.
The 1975 Colts team lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Pittsburgh Steelers, who would go onto win Super Bowl X.
