Last year, the Baltimore Ravens needed help in the secondary, and especially at the cornerback position. They addressed this need on draft day and shortly after in the second half of free agency when they selected Tavon Young and signed veteran cornerback Jerraud Powers. Powers had previously played for the Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals for the first seven years of his career.
Powers did a good job for Baltimore overall as he applied a veteran presence in both coverage and tackling. Powers recorded 33 tackles, one sack, five passes defensed, and two interceptions.
