A few years ago while hosting the radio show GAMETIME, “the voice of Ravens247.com”, I invited Eric DeCosta and his wife Lacie into the CBS Radio studios to talk about the Ravens, the scouting process and to field questions from the listening audience.

Eric initially seemed a bit puzzled by the invite for Lacie. I explained that during a previous conversation, he shared how the scouts spend about 180 nights per year away from their families, oftentimes in dumpy little hotels and motels, while preparing for visits with players, coaches, teammates and families of interest for the next season’s NFL Draft.
