OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Sunday night's showdown (8:20 p.m. ET, NBC) isn't the first time the Baltimore Ravens encountered an undefeated New England Patriots team.
On Dec. 3, 2007, the Ravens nearly pulled off one of the biggest upsets in NFL history. A 19-point underdog, Baltimore (4-7 at the time) gave New England one of its biggest scares in its perfect 16-0 regular season before falling, 27-24.
The Ravens outgained the Patriots, 376-326 (the only team in the regular season to do so), held receiver Randy Moss to a season-worst 34 yards and watched Kyle Boller produce a better passer rating than Tom Brady.
