Sunday's game was yet another contest marred by the presence of James Hurst at left tackle. Hurst, who has been one of the league's worst by both the simple eye test and advanced metrics, was once again doing what he does best by letting his quarterback down.
The appearance of Hurst on the line has only been because of the absence of Eugene Monroe, who is usually a reliable constant on the blind side. Monroe has started in only four games this year, and was ruled out of this week's contest after suffering a shoulder injury in last week's contest.
