After a 12-year NFL career, all but one of those years with the Ravens, Ed Reed will officially announce his retirement at a news conference on Thursday afternoon.
The Ravens have announced Reed will appear at a news conference with team officials at 2 p.m. at the team's headquarters in Owings Mills.
The safety had 64 career interceptions ranking sixth all-time in NFL history.
Reed also has the most interception yards returned with 1,590.
He also scored 14 touchdowns over his career.
Reed split his final NFL season with the Texans and Jets.
