The Ravens spent all of training camp and the preseason trying to figure out who on the roster would best serve as the team’s return specialist.
Wide receiver Michael Campanaro (River Hill) struggled and was released-injured while rookie Keenan Reynolds showed he still had a lot to learn making the transition from Navy quarterback to NFL return specialist before he was released and signed to the Ravens practice squad.
It turns out the player for the job was not even on the roster until this week when the Ravens signed veteran Devin Hester to a one-year deal.
