Between two prospects in this year’s draft, they have three hands and 14 fingers.
Meet Central Florida linebacker Shaquem Griffin and Wisconsin tight end Troy Fumagalli, two of the most inspiring stories at last week’s Senior Bowl and two players who could be in play for the Ravens in this year’s draft.
Both players were born with amniotic band syndrome, which is a congenital disorder in which fetal parts become entangled in fibrous string-like amniotic bands in the womb, restricting blood flow and affecting the baby’s development.
For Fumagalli, it meant amputation of his left index finger one day after he was born.
