For many, Sunday’s game between the Ravens and Chiefs swung on the first-quarter fake punt that coach John Harbaugh’s team unsuccessfully attempted deep in their own territory.
The Ravens, playing at home against a streaking team, had no reason not to be bold, but as the game wore on, it was worth asking whether that decision had made the team any more conservative going forward.
In reading both Harbaugh’s comments and the publicly available analytics, it seems like Harbaugh remained his typical bold but reasoned self, even with the early fake punt failure looming throughout the game.
