Dennis Pitta will start practicing with the Ravens Wednesday, another step in the tight end’s possible return from his second career-threatening hip injury.
Pitta, who is on the physically unable to perform list, has been working out after practices or before games. But this week is the first time he’ll be eligible to return to full-team practice.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh cautioned that Pitta returning to practice doesn’t mean that he’ll play in a game this year. But it’s an uplifting step, nonetheless.
“I think it’s Dennis’ decision. I know it’s Dennis’ decision, along with his family,” Harbaugh said Wednesday morning.
