Chris Canty leaves game with pectoral strain, declared out

Ravens defensive end Chris Canty left Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks with a strained pectoral muscle, and will not return, the team announced.

Canty, the veteran presence on the defensive line for the Ravens, had strung together a pair of strong games recently, but didn't have a tackle in Sunday's game.

Canty suffered the injury on the first drive of the second half, when the Seahawks extended their lead to 21-6 with a 22-yard touchdown reception by receiver Doug Baldwin.

His absence means a bigger role for reserve defensive ends Lawrence Guy and Brent Urban this week, and could create a roster spot on gameday for Kapron Lewis-Moore or Carl Davis going forward if Canty can't play in any of the remaining three games.
