Since the turn of the century the Ravens have regularly fielded competitive teams. Beginning in 2000, Baltimore has reached the postseason 14 of the past 24 seasons and 12 of John Harbaugh’s 17 seasons. Here’s a quick snapshot of the team’s playoff success that will be the envy of many other NFL towns across the country.
• All-Time Playoff Games: 32 Games, 18-14
• Wild Card Round: 12 Games, 9-3
• Divisional Round: 13 Games, 5-8
• Conference Championship: 5 Games, 2-3
• Super Bowl: 2 Games, 2-0
And while we should all take comfort knowing that the organization has the wherewithal to continue to field winning teams, and that they are a regular playoff participant, it’s the ones that got away that resonate more, particularly after another gut-wrenching playoff loss last weekend during which the Ravens demonstrated their philanthropic ways once again.
