Ravens tight end Benjamin Watson is again being recognized for his work away from the football field.
The veteran has been selected as this year’s recipient of the Bart Starr Award, which is given to an NFL player who “best exemplifies outstanding character and leadership in the home, on the field and in the community.”
Watson received a phone call Thursday morning from Starr’s wife, Cherry, informing him that he won the award. Starr, the former quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, is a Hall of Famer and was the Most Valuable Player in Super Bowls I and II.
